Apprenticeship Business Outreach Specialist

Union County College


About the position: The Apprenticeship Business Outreach Specialist will develop relationships with employers to obtain their interest and commitment to apprenticeship programs in support of the Transportation, Logistics and Distribution Talent Development Center (TLD TDC).

During the grant period the Apprenticeship Outreach Specialist will have identified a minimum of three employers who commit to implementing a registered apprenticeship program at their business, commencing before May 1, 2018. This registered apprenticeship program will be approved by the joint administration of registered apprenticeship in New Jersey with the USDOL. About the position: Helps CEWD students find employment (FT/PT jobs) that improve their chances for continuing enrollment, completing a UCCdegree and /or to end dependency on public assistance. Works with CEWD Student Development Advisors to develop individual employability/academic plans for students. Places students in worksites and monitors students' progress. Helps to carry out skills assessment and other related activities that enhance the best student to job match. Follows up on student placement success. About the position:  The Executive Director is a vital member of the leadership team within the Division of Student Affairs at Colorado State University, reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Student Success. The Executive Director is responsible for the 2.5 million dollar budget and overall operation of the Career Center. This position oversees programs that educate students toward excellence in exploring, enhancing, explaining, and experiencing their future career plans. The Executive Director develops relationships with employers educating them on best practices for hiring CSU students for internships and full-time employment.
