Join us for our NJC3 fall event where Lawrese Brown will lead us in a soft-skills training on How Communication, Collaboration and Creative Thinking Apply to NJ's Top 5 Industries & How We Can Support Students in Developing These Skills in Academia, Extra-Curricular, and Experiential Education.

Participants will learn:

  • The soft-skill expectations employers have for entry-level talent
  • What activities and strategies career and corporate learning professionals can use to develop students' communication, collaboration and creative thinking skills
  • How students can leverage and connect their experiences from retail, hospitality, and other customer service driven industries to other industries
  • How students can better take advantage of opportunities to engage with employers (from career fairs, recruitment events, on-campus meetings) so that they can stand out and make more quality first impressions
After lunch, Lawrese will lead an application/networking activity on "21st Century Talent Development: New Ways to Demonstrate Evidence of Experience."

Presenter: Lawrese Brown is the founder of C-Track.
